A Sesame Street

Yesterday Lainey hollered "Mom, come quick, there's a Sesame Street in the floor!"
When I ran into the room, she was pointing to a tiny millipede that was crawling by the door. Apparently she calls them Sesame Streets. No idea why!

The social butterfly

We went to the McDonalds play place after school today. Lainey was the social coordinator for all the kids- at one point standing at the bottom o the stairs calling the kids over to play with her. Then she would tell them to take turns and play nicely with each other.
There was a little boy with his ear pierced and she was not sure what to make of it but he was extremely leery of him. She would leave the area when he came in, watch him intently, wait for him to sit back down with his mom before he went back to the slide, and she kept her eye on him at all times.
Now she's yelling "Kid! Hey kid! What's your name? We have to know your name so we can play together!"

Poor Dunkin

This morning she wanted to put "a straddle" (she means saddle, and this was a nylon strap from her play stroller) on Dunkin so one of her babies could ride him around. She got the strap around his neck and he managed to shake it off and run away before she could get the baby tied in. She ran after him and said "Dunkin, we need to talk!"

Gumball machine

We got a gum ball machine for Lainey and told her she has to do chores to earn money to get the gum. Her idea of chores vastly differs from ours, as we expected. this morning instead of throwing away empty Capri Sun packages she left in our room, she opted to put a blanket on Dunkin's bed so he wouldn't get cold.
Oh, and she calls Capri Sun Crappy Sun.

The new boy at school

His name is Braiden and Braiden hits, kicks, and wipes bogies on Lainey. He also throws Aubrey's shoes over the fence. Today Lainey told me that she tries to play with him and be nice, but it's no use because he always ends up being a bad boy. I told her it was good that she keeps trying to play with him but she should tell the teacher when he hits and kicks. And that she should tell him that's not how we do things at her Apple School!

Where does she get this?

She just said "Momma, don't you dare turn off this light, because if you do my babies will get scared and get nightmares. Okay?"
